We live in a fractious age. From home and hearth to the centers of political power, disagreements become divisions and more and more divisions become departures. And as we know, the church is far from immune to such pressures. Yet as those called to lead Christ’s work of restoration and reconciliation our unity is an essential dimension of our mission, a dimension too easily threatened.
