Since 2009, APHL’s Kenya office has supported the selection, implementation, maintenance and successful use of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The LIMS allows laboratories that conduct viral load testing to manage and report data to patients and their care providers. A recently-added feature called “remote login” enables health centers to request viral load tests electronically and to receive test results through the LIMS. This video highlights the successes achieved by APHL in Kenya and their collaboration with the National Public Health Laboratory.
