"Dark Dungeons" is an adaptation of the Jack Chick religious tract of the same name. The original tract is about the supposed dangers of role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons.
Boolean Union's adaptation keeps the same story, with some added dialog. The film was produced with DAZ Studio and a host of other programs. Preproduction began Sept 2009 and post-production ended Nov 2010.

Tanzen Mit Dem Teufel (Dance with the Devil) was the second project completed by animator Bryan Blum of Boolean Union Studios. This short movie involves the tragic case of a young girl who goes missing from a local bus stop only to turn up in an ominous temple somewhere below the city. The kidnapper has brought her there for the purposes of casting a dark ritual. After casting some incantations, the clouds move over the moon and the girl enters an internal battle for her soul. After finally losing out, her body goes pale and her soul is cast into hell. Her body is then left as a mindless automaton under the complete control of the caster. At his command she kneels before him and assumes a disguise with which to return to the world above to do his bidding.
This film was the first created using DAZ Studio, which at the time was still relatively new software. While by current standards it is relatively simple, with basic animation, Tanzen helped lay the groundwork for future Boolean projects created using DAZ Studio. Bruder Gegen Bruder (Brother Against Brother) was created by animator Bryan Blum of Boolean Union Studios. This short shows a fight between two friends. It begins with friendly sparring but soon degenerates into mortal combat. The two characters are based on Blum and co-worker of his. The animation was done in Poser 5 using the "sketch render" option, which is what lends the piece a rotoscope-like feel. This was the first complete project by Blum and Boolean Union Studios, and led to later and more advanced projects which can be seen at our website: http://www.boolean-union.com.
