Me and 2 mates went some hillwalking for some much needed exercise. Was a tough walk/climb at first but we got there in the end :-) . I think what made it tougher than what it actually was is all the gear we took up to film and photograph it.
it was worth it just for the scenery alone. Here is some footage taken with the Canon 5D Mark II.
Here is a video montage that I shot around the Scottish Higlands during my trip there this past April/May. Out of all of the countries I've traveled to, Scotland is at the top. A beautiful country, authentic people and a land full of history. Inspired by: BBC's Planet Earth t.v. series, Philip Bloom, Leclerc Brothers Motion Pictures and Steven Dempsey.
Shot on: Panasonic DVX100B
Music: Soundtracks from Planet Earth by the BBC
Compression Settings: H.264 800Kbps, 480x270, AAC for the audio.

I shot this wee video at an afternoon networking event for Scottish Entrepreneurs who've joined a LinkedIn group here in Glasgow. Shot on small, handheld Kodak on the lowest resolution to keep file size small so it's a bit "gritty" but you can see how fun it was! I want to go again with some friends! Edited (rather quickly) in iMovie 09.
This year's festival was in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park. June 13, 2010. I shot this video on Kodak Zi8 in 1080 and edited it in iMovie 09. (Must learn FCP one of these days). Still, the footage quality is pretty damn good in terms of clarity and color. Hope you agree.
