A custom-built Houdini Set Dressing System which I built for Sunrise Productions
This system includes an automated set builder tool (which builds sets based on shot-specific json files), a weighted scatter system, a procedural asset library which builds its contents based on the assets used and a myriad of options for optimisation, including distance culling, camera culling, subdivision by radius, LOD falloff and foreground/background splitting
For the JungleBeat show "Munki & Trunk" one of the biggest challenges we faced was having a constantly flowing river and waterfall which appears in a large majority of the shots in the show.
This meant that we couldn't simulate an expensive water simulation but had to build a fake but believable version which looped seamlessly - almost like you would find in a game.
So here is the no-simulation looping river which I built to achieve just that...

A new tool I have developed to turn curves into braids, dreadlocks, loose or tight curls, or just to allow some modification of the shape of the curves...
It accepts multiple curves at a time (including groups) and can work perfectly on animated curves due to the reference frame calculations it performs on your original curve...
