Welcome to Resurrection Life of Jesus Church. We are a Bible centered group of believers who desire to grow in the full knowledge of Jesus Christ without compromise to His Word. We believe, teach and practice all things that Jesus taught and were practiced by the Church in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. Jesus called his disciples to be salt and light. Salt is a preservative but it is also something that adds savor and enjoyment to our daily food. Light is a symbol of truth; it is comforting, penetrating, guiding and exposes darkness. We seek to preserve biblical truth and shed the glorious light of the Gospel in a world that is consumed by darkness.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Many Christians believe that Paul was biased against women based upon his admonition for them to keep quiet in church. However, Paul's letter to the Romans proved this was not true as he described a woman named Phebe who was carrying a letter on his behalf to the believers in Rome. Paul identifies her as a deaconess, which indicates that the office of a deacon had been expanded to include women since it was first instituted in Jerusalem, and this serves to prove that Paul worked well with women.

The warmth of Paul is evident as he writes about his friends Aquila and Pricilla, whom he met in Corinth when they worked together as tentmakers to earn a living. Many years earlier, Satan infiltrated the Israelites and polluted them with the ungodly writings of the Kabbalah and the Talmud. Understandably, Paul was also concerned about the false doctrine being introduced to the local churches and the strife and division that would occur. Would the church of Jesus continue to grow and thrive or be choked off by Satan? Would the subsequent generations read and understand his warning?

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Jesus replaced the synagogue system with the church system and a decentralized style of leadership. The born again Jews were happy in Jesus but they struggled with the deeply ingrained Talmudic prejudices and had difficulty integrating with Gentiles. Paul addressed this issue when he admonished Christians not to build cliques in the local churches, but to treat one another the same way as Christ treated them. While it's true that Jesus was an Israelite who came to His own people first, Paul wanted the Gentiles to know that salvation was also available to them regardless of race or gender and they should treat the Jews with love.

Paul had been commissioned by God to preach the Gospel and go where no churches existed. This was the reason he traveled extensively throughout the Roman Empire and wanted to visit Spain but he was also mindful of the needs of the Jewish Christians in Jerusalem and collected money for the poor. Paul did not know that events in Jerusalem would not go as planned; instead, he was almost murdered by the Jews, arrested, and finally brought to Rome as a prisoner two years later. Paul trusted God implicitly but his carefully laid plans were shattered by these unexpected events.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Christians should treat one another with love and respect. The church in Rome consisted of former pagans that held to a vegetarian diet. This caused much strife within the church and Paul stated that meat eaters should not disdain the vegetarians as weak in the faith, but accept them as equal brothers and sisters in the Lord.

The Pharisees followed the Talmud and taught the people it was sinful to eat without washing their hands. Jesus refuted their claim by stating that the words you choose to speak are what defile you because they originate from your soul. The Pharisees falsely believed they could lie, cheat and steal, as long as they kept their Talmudic rituals.

Paul said the animal kingdom is not sinful, but if you believe otherwise, then it is indeed sinful. Your personal faith should be just that -- personal. Jesus made it clear that before you try to remove a speck from another man's eye, remove the log from your eye first. Live your life according to what the Bible teaches and don't impose your rules and regulations on other Christians. The flip side is that you should also not compromise God's Word in order to please other people.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
Paul was a Roman citizen and cherished the laws which granted him the freedom to live, travel and do business as he saw fit. He knew that chaos would ensue and make it difficult for churches to operate if Roman law unraveled. Therefore, Paul advocated for Christians to accept the fact that nations and governments are ordained by God in order to avoid anarchy.

The entire creation is based upon physical laws, spiritual laws, and political laws to govern nations. Jesus wants us to submit to government as long as it doesn’t violate the Word of God. Likewise, it is the duty of any government to write just laws and hold criminals responsible. Christians
need to respect government offices because a benign ruler is not a threat to law abiding citizens.
This was the mindset of Paul in describing government and encouraging compliance to earthly rulers or facing the possibility of ending up with a prison ministry. God does not like anarchy and chaos whereas Satan is a liar, murderer and destroyer of all that is good. In the end, we should not obey the laws of men out of fear, but because our conscience tells us to do so.

    ABOUT THE VIDEO
The 13th chapter in the letter to the Romans has been a thorn in the side for many Christians. Did Paul really mean that Christians should blindly submit to any government? Answering that question requires a little background knowledge. Roman law protected people and made it possible for them to travel freely within the empire, to possess property and conduct business, including preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus the Roman government in Paul’s mind was good, and with imminent return of Jesus, he believed that Christians should submit to Rome’s authority.

Paul did not know that the Roman Empire would cease to exist or that Jesus would still not have come back to the earth some 1,950 years after writing this epistle. The Bible tells us that no man can become king unless it has been decreed by God. Does that mean that Christians should submit to evil governments? No. Is it lawful to resist an evil government? Yes. There are numerous examples where godly men resisted and rejected tyranny against the Word of God. This is precisely the reason why the American colonists declared independence from Great Britain in 1776.
