Spend a weekend exploring the beauty surrounding Pokhara, Nepal. There are many areas in Nepal that are unaffected by the earthquake and are open for business. Some friends of ours decided to spend two days touring around the incredible areas that Pokhara has to offer. They started off in Lakeside and from there rode a motorbike 2 hours to Dhampus where the famous Annapurna Sanctuary teahouse trekking circuit begins. There they stayed the night at a teahouse and met some wonderful locals who took them in for tea and snacks. Their trekking guide then took them over to Sarangkot which overlooks the city of Pokhara and Fewa Lake. There you will find the popular launching zone for tandem and solo paragliding flights. They were able to view the city and mountains with a new perspective and experiencing the area with knowledgable local guides was a highlight of their trip as they were able to grasp the culture of Nepal in a new and unique way.
Tourism stimulates the local economy and creates new jobs. Help rebuild Nepal by spending your vacation here.

A few months ago I went to Nepal as a last minute decision. It ended up being one of my favorite countries that I have been to. Here are a few clips I threw together showing some of cities and trekking I got up to seeing and doing.
