Fifteen-year-old Rehtaeh Parsons from Nova Scotia was raped by four schoolboys while at a sleepover. No Place to Hide explores the effects of cyber-bullying, rape culture and victim blaming - all borne in one girl.
"She remembers them taking turns on top of her. She remembers hitting her head on the window as she threw up. She also remembers someone saying to take a photo", says Rehtaeh's mother. This photo, of her throwing up whilst being raped, went viral around her school and led to unrelenting harassment. Told through the eyes of her parents after her suicide, this is a shocking testament to police indifference, the stigmatisation of victims of sexual assault, and the extreme effects of cyberbullying.
