Christmas is described as the coming of Jesus, the light of the world. In 2 Corinthians 4 we discover that Jesus' person and work is called 'the light of the Gospel.' We also learn 3 useful realities about this 'light of the Gospel' which remind us that beneath the surface of what we see, there is a 'Light Struggle.
This Advent we are exploring what it means for Jesus to be the Light that shined in the darkness and how His shining causes and compels us to shine as well. This morning we’ll look at Isaiah 60 where the Light was promised to shine.
