Hoisting the blades for one of the Awel Aman Tawe wind turbines early one misty morning reveals the intricacy and delicacy of such an operation. See one of the workers hanging onto the tip of one of the blades as they are hoisted into the air, swivelling on the crane hook adapter known as an orange banana!
Jenny Carlisle and Charlotte Norton from the Welsh Government's Ynni Lleol / Local Energy project talk about the support they provided Awel Aman Tawe on the development of the AAT community wind farm.
Awel is an independent Society which has been set up in September 2015 by Awel Aman Tawe (AAT). AAT is a community energy charity working to make a difference to the lives of people at the top of the Swansea and Amman Valleys.
