  2. In this colorful psychological thriller, a disturbed genius named Mira (Jessica Cadden Osborne) becomes entangled in a devastating love affair with the pink-haired perverse girl-next-door Penny (Tali Custer). The more she falls down the rabbit hole of crime, sex, violence and drugs, the more the lines between reality and dreams begin to blur. Mira’s mind falls victim to the whims of her demons, Claudia (Audrey Lorea) and Synra (Frances Brennand Roper). Devastated by Mira's choices, Penny dives more deeply into Mira's psyche, causing both of them to live out the extremes of both Heaven and Hell.

  4. This is another of my kinda-rough early short films shot on a JVC Camcorder, also markedly more ambitious than 'Infidelio'. This is a weird, dark comedy made out of the frustration of an incident that happened to me when my car got towed and I had to wait... and wait... and wait for it. Inspired also in part by the dream-within-dreams of Luis Bunuel, absurdly long takes of Jean-Luc Godard, and the bureaucratic frustration of Franz Kafka, with a little Seinfeld thrown in there...

Some of it is, again, rough technically, and it's far from flawless (and most of this I blame myself), but little gems do reside here - if nothing else, it's the first collaboration between myself and actor Zack Abramowitz, who takes a character I wrote on a whim and makes him iconic: junior lawyer 'Mel Klein'.

So, without further a-do, the strangeness that is Untitled Impound.

Starring (alphabetically): Zack Abramowitz, Esther Adler, James Allred, Janet Christal, Jack Gattanella, Doran George, Ben Hoskins, Leslie Korein, Noah Meyerson, and Michael Ray Solis
    Music by dan ex machina
    Editing by Mike Vernazza
