The Love Language celebrate the release of their new album, Libraries, on Merge Records. Shithorse and The Light Pines played some incredible sets to start the show in Carrboro, NC on July 17, 2010. This is the first of 5 parts. They were later joined by Leah, Drew, and Jenavieve on strings from Lost in the Trees, as well as Will, Seamus and Mark on horns, also from Lost in the Trees. James Wallace, Ryan Gustafson, and Carter Gaj of Max Indian, The Sundowners, and Drughorse also make an appearance on this hometown show.
The order of the songs on this part are:
This Will Be Our Year (The Zombies)
Hammer No More the Fingers and 1/3 of Megafuan join forces for an acoustic tour de force at the Trekky House on May 21, 2010. This was one of the first acoustic shows ever for the tenaciously rocking Hammer No More the Fingers and the first with Phil Cook (banjo). What's most impressive about this set is that Phil had never played these songs before and only warmed up with Hammer outside on the porch in the 20 minutes leading up to the set. There were some songs in the set that Phil might never have heard. Cheers to the improvisational virtuosity of the Triangle! Thanks to Will Hackney of Trekky Records for putting this intimate and amazing show together.
