The first local church with which we partnered on the Island of La Gonave is Plaine Mapoux. Over the last four years, our partnership helped build a church, a fully functioning elementary school, and a rain catchment system. Additionally, we continue to assist with micro-finances endeavors, teacher salary assistance, and economic development through goat projects and coffee projects.

In 2014, we traveled to Plain Mapoux, Haiti on the Island of La Gonave. A portion of that trip was to document the local Haitian coffee process. We explored the viability of purchasing coffee through local micro-plots at fair trade prices to bring back to the United States. In turn, we reinvest every single dollar of income from the coffee in community development on La Gonave.
