PC(USA) members seeking first bachelor’s degree encouraged to apply for undergraduate scholarships from Presbyterian Mission. The office of Financial Aid for Service (FAFS) and its undergraduate scholarship program has capacity for $350,000 in awards for 2018-2019. The deadline for applications is May 15. Visit pcusa.org/scholarship and fill out the one-page Getting Started form to apply.
Transformational Leadership Debt Assistance is offering a $5,000 loan — with forgiveness for service — to qualifying ministers in small PC(USA) churches of 150 or less, and to ministers of PC(USA) new worshiping communities.
The TLDA loan is interest free, has no required payment during the in-service period, is paid directly to student loan servicer— and is forgivable after 12-18 months of service.
