Music has proven itself to be a powerful force in the world. It has done this by crossing divides and bonding those of different ethnicity, culture, language, religion, gender and geography. It has aided and given strength to those in struggle and strife as well as bringing life to a party. It has been an outlet for those to voice themselves and share their experiences with the world. Here we see Myron Walden Countryfied diving head first into sounds influenced by "Roots Music" of America. The music that was originally thought of as being substandard has been the backbone to other forms throughout history. Commonly referred to as the Blues, it has been the source of origin for genres known as R&B, Soul, Country, Jazz, Rock n Roll and dare I say, Rap and Hip Hop as well as a host of others. This video highlights Myron Walden Countryfied doing what they do best and that's making soulful music. Compiled from live performances around NYC you can see and hear, for yourself, them in performances that are as inspired as they are inspiring.

Myron Walden Countryfied features my compositions inspired by what might be broadly described as the roots music of the South. There's a certain country or rural feeling in this music of Countryfied. The project takes the blues, rock and roll, country, jazz, soul and the feeling of southern church, fusing them together to form a singular sound. The slow tempo tracks are thick with sultry feeling. The fast tempo tracks have a good time exuberance. "It is my hope that all the songs presented here prompt you to tap your feet, nod your head and get up out of your seat and dance."

Courtney I’m glad to hear that you enjoy what we do. The "Teaser" is great at providing an overview but listening to a complete song shows our potency. If you're in NYC on March 23 we'll be live at Jazz Standard-116 E 27th St. we’d love to see you there.

I just found out about this band and I can't get enough. I love what Myron does with that horn.. The "Teaser" video is great but the "Through It All" video is my favorite.
