  4. Installing presets in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) is a difficult process and does not allow for any organization, which is why I like Lightroom so much better. But, if you are going to be using ACR, then it makes sense to have your most used presets available there as well. This video teaches you how to install and manage those presets. Also, check out the ACR Preset Manager at acrpresetmanager.com for easy conversion of LR Presets and management of presets in ACR.

  5. If you are doing your own post-production for weddings and portraits, it is time to stop. If you are already using ShootDotEdit for your post, life just got even better. Jobs that used to take 13 hours to upload, can be uploaded in about 30 minutes. The new Lightroom 5 workflow with Smart Previews makes uploading all your raw photos a thing of the past.

In this video, Jared Platt (ShootDotEdit's Lightroom and Workflow Guru) shows an entire workflow from start to finish (truncated to 25 minutes for your efficient viewing pleasure). Jared will show you how he selects his images, prepares his catalog for SDE, uploads the job, receives the SDE edited images and adds his own style on top of the color correction done by ShootDotEdit.

If you are thinking about using ShootDotEdit, Lightroom 5 or already use both, but need to see how it should be done. Take a few minutes (25 minutes actually) and learn how its done. And if you need to fast forward through the parts you know, that's OK, we understand.
