    Die Schweizer Informatikolympiade oder SOI ist ein schweizweiter Programmierwettbewerb für Jugendliche unter 20 Jahren. Es ist zugleich der Verein, welcher für die Durchführung dieser Olympiade zuständig ist. Der Wettbewerb existiert seit 1992, und ermöglicht Jugendlichen eine Teilnahme an der Internationalen Informatik-Olympiade (International Olympiad in Informatics). Der Organisationsverein ist Mitglied des Verbands Schweizer Wissenschafts-Olympiaden. Jedes Jahr gibt es einen praktischen Teil und einen theoretischen Teil. Beim praktischen Teil muss der Teilnehmer eine Liste von Problemen durch Programmieren lösen. Hierbei ist in der ersten Runde jede Programmiersprache erlaubt. Ab der zweiten Runde sind es nur noch C++ und Python. Mögliche Aufgaben sind zum Beispiel das Finden der Ausgänge in einem Labyrinth.
