A song written for Andy & Megan Ashbaugh's wedding.
I really wrote it the night before and didn't have it memorized yet, that's why Matt had to hold the lyrics. I am going to record a good version of the song and give it free to anyone that was at the wedding and wants a copy. E-mail me.
A huge thank you to Heather Mann and Brandon Berthold for filming this.
All my friends are getting married
All my friends are finding love
and some day, I may find it too
But all my ex-girlfriends think I'm immature
I'd tell 'em they were wrong if they were wrong
but that's not true
guess what I'm trying to say
is that I'm happy for you...
guys... Andy and Megan
I met Andy as a Sophomore in college
and I was dating one of Megan's friends
one day Megan came over to a party at our house
and Andy was my new roommate. And she said
Who is that guy
with the beautiful smile
and a twinkle in his eye
and that body... Does he work out?
and I said, Oh you must be talkin' bout Andy
ya he's cool, but get in line
cause we're not even sure that he's into chicks 'cause
he turns down chicks, all the time.
but a short while later
after a concert that I threw
it looked like Andy had a little too much fun cause
the too much fun made him have to puke
but Megan was there
and she held back his hair
and the rest my friends is history cause
the way they were then, is the way you can see today
lada dada, lada dada, lada dada
Don't worry bout me, I'll be arright
my friends get married all the time
but the bachelor life is not a crime
plus check out the bridesmaids... the bridesmaids are fine.
Hey ladies not only can I sing,
but i can play guitar
and I've been told I give an awesome back rub
with lotions, candles, and no shirts on
and I'm a really good listener
and I will treat you right
and I don't mind be'n tied down
At least just for tonight...
MATT-"Isn't this song supposed to be about Andy and Megan?"
Well all the huffin' and puffin' and blowin and stuff
could never bust, the brick house of love
that they have created, don't hate it, they made it
ah hah, ah hah
This is the song that we usually use to check levels so that we don't waste the sound check on a real song. It has been called the sound check song, the intro song, and the wordless song. Landry recorded it on a little camera and I edited together a quick vid. Enjoy.
