LUMIX GH3 miscellanea

A series of scenes showing flocks of these sandpiper flying in tight formations. One of the reasons birds form large flocks during migration is that it improves a bird’s chance of survival against predators because a large group of birds is stronger and better protected and with many eyes the flock is far more likely to spot a would-be marauder. There were 2 Peregrine Falcon in the area making the birds edgy and high alert, and then one of the falcons made a fast pass over the flock, and if you look closely at 2:05, you will see part of the flock dive for cover right down into the water to avoid getting picked off.
