At a time when many are disillusioned with big banks and big business, and growing inequity in our country, employee ownership offers a real solution for workers and communities. Shift Change: Putting Democracy to Work is a new documentary (to be released in fall 2012) that highlights worker-owned enterprises in North America and in Mondragon, Spain. The film couldn’t be more timely, as 2012 has been declared by the U.N. as the “International Year of the Cooperative.”
The Holstee Manifesto is a call to action to live a life full of intention, creativity, passion, and community.
The LifeCycle Film came about as a desire to bring the energy and passion behind the Manifesto to life through something we love--biking. As we seek to live mindful lifestyles that leave a positive impact on the people and world around us, biking has become a passion that is much more than a transportation alternative. It is a way of fully experiencing the city we love and all of its details.
This Film is a celebration. It is a celebration of gatherings, of diversity, of life, and of the beauty of shared experience. We hope you enjoy.

This is an excerpt form 'The Secret of Drawing', a television documentary broadcast on the BBC in 2005. In this section Sylvain Chomet talks about drawing, animation, and his upcoming film "The Illusionist", due for release in 2010.
Note. The animation of Tati here is by Laurent Kirtcher, on of the ultra talented supervising animators of the Jacques Tati character. This was an early test animation.
