1. Subha Barry is a seasoned financial services executive with 30+ years experience in business, operational, and leadership roles, with a unique perspective on the link between revenues and corporate culture, talent, and human capital. She has a proven track record of recruiting top talent and building cohesive teams to be agents of change, linking people leadership to business results and has served as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership teams.
    Subha is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and serves as an Independent Expert Advisor and Consultant on the Gerson Lehrman Group’s Research and Consulting Platform. She is also the Principal of SV Barry Consulting Group LLC, focusing on providing innovative solutions on issues of diversity, inclusion, leadership development, cultural competence and multicultural marketing.
    Previously, she was SVP and Chief Diversity Officer at Freddie Mac, where she was responsible for Diversity & Inclusion (D & I), Supplier Diversity, Community Engagement and the Freddie Mac Foundation. In this role, she reported to the CEO and served on the management committee.
    Prior to Freddie Mac, Subha was Managing Director and Global Headof D & I for Merrill Lynch, where she integrated existing and new diversity efforts globally and oversaw the firm's D & I Council and Advisory Board. During her 20-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, she was a highly successful Wealth Advisor and Branch Manager. In 2001, she created the Multicultural & Diversified Business Development Group that established Merrill Lynch as the preeminent wealth management firm among diverse and multicultural communities globally.
    She has a BA from Bombay University, India, an MBA and an MS in Accounting from Rice University. Subha serves on the boards of Rutgers University, Rice University's Business School, Princeton Hospital, and is Chair of the Rutgers Cancer Institute's Director's Advisory Council. She is a Senior Advisor to the Center for Talent Innovation and Asia Society's Talent and D & I Council. Subha is Emeritus of a number of boards, including those of Rice University and the National Council for Research on Women.
    Subha is an active mentor of women in her community and industry. A cancer survivor, she supports and coaches newly diagnosed patients with coping strategies and career/life balance. She and her husband Jim have two children, Tara and Jay, and live in Princeton, New Jersey.
