Some work I've done doing real-time market data visualization. First we see the Liquidity Engine, a visualization of a live sub-second turnaround arbitrage system which traded the NASDAQ successfully for several years. Next is 3D2 - the first interactive 3D trading platform as far as I know. Trades could be executed with an XBOX controller.
This video showcases a totally procedural human skin shader I wrote for the Renderman-like Firefly engine. There are no photographic textures used. All features including texture and freckling are controlled by a network of procedural nodes.
