New research shows that one in ten of today's teenagers will need a hearing aid by the time they're 30 - because they are playing their MP3 players dangerously loud. The Noise Abatement Society is visiting schools with its 'Love Your Ears' campaign to try and persuade them to turn down the volume. This combined video news release and web video, commissioned by the Noise Abatement Society, helped secure coverage of the campaign on GMTV. One square mile is all it would take, in this country of 93,278 square miles, to provide a base for every homeless Gypsy and Traveller and end the routine eviction and harassment with which they live.
This film about Gypsies, Travellers and the UK planning (land zoning) system was commissioned by the charity Planning Aid in association with the South West Alliance of Nomads.
It begins with disturbing archive footage by Simon Evans of Gypsies being evicted from their own land because it wasn't designated as a caravan site (trailer park). Co-produced by Tony Coll & Simon Evans. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org, (+44) 117 987 0442.
The River Dart has been a major West Country waterway since the earliest times, but in recent years it's been sadly neglected. Now, new and sustainable commercial and leisure activity is being stimulated on the river by the rebuilding of Sharpham Quay, near Totnes, Devon. Among other benefits, it enables visitors to the neighbouring Sharpham Estate vineyard to arrive and depart by boat.
Part of a film commissioned by the South West Protected Landscapes Forum to highlight the work of the Sustainable Development Fund. Contact tony coll & associates ltd, email@example.com, (+44) 117 987 0442.
