1. Video of our trip to Dahab, Egypt in July 1022. See the cool clip of the Canyon dive site at the end.

  2. An underwater hotch-potch of the things we saw while diving.

There were turtles and sharks galore. One of the best diving holidays we've had.

  3. Sue and I were on a Kona Honu dive boat just leaving the harbour north of Kona when we came upon this pod of very friendly dolphins. They were riding our bow wave and some were jumping out of the water, as were the humpback whales.

  4. Sue and I took these videos with our digital cameras in January 2010. The shots do not do justice to the size and strength of these waves. We were told that a few days earlier they were almost twice this size.

There was a single widsurfer who at one point looked as if he was heading all the way to Molokai. The kite surfers were having a whale of a time. Check out the surfer at the end of the black and white section who has a novel way of dismounting his board.

  5. I encountered this very friendly manta ray, which had a wingspan of about 3 metres, on a dive with Kona Honu Divers out of Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

We had to fin for about 5 minutes to catch up with it, but suddenly it stopped and took an interest in us. So much so that it hung around us for another 5 minutes.

At its closest point it was about 2 metres away from me. I've set the video to music. I may change the soundtrack later to something more ethereal.

Sorry about the colours; I managed to set my camera, a Canon Digital IXUS 980 IS, into "video with (green) colour accent" mode by mistake and couldn't change it underwater!
