The 1947 Partition Archive is a grassroots, volunteer run effort to document and preserve eye witness accounts from the partition of British India into present day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in 1947. We are grateful to those participants who have agreed to broadcast their story on You Tube. Out of due respect for the emotionally sensitive nature of the 1947 Partition, video comments will be closely monitored. We hope that these recollections serve as an educational tool, creating greater awareness of the chaos that unfolded during Partition. 1947PartitionArchive.org
