synopsis: Produced during a residency at the Experimental Television Center in Owego, NY (2008), \"Experiment 2\" involves multiple feedback loops between pinhole video (shot at Tawangmanggu, Indonesia), a waveform monitor, and voltage controls, as well as Max MSP and a Raster Manipulation Unit (a.k.a. the Wobbulator, designed by Nam June Paik/Shuya Abe). My work at ETC was influenced by my recent research in Java, Indonesia where I focused on traditional culture and its methods of navigation/interactivity between the natural and supernatural worlds.

Working on a Doepfer synth and a number of oscillator/patch bays, this is a very basic voice synth. By talking, the pitch of my voice is triggering a number of gates which will generate new audio based off incoming ramp waves from the various oscillator bays. So what you are actually hearing when I flip the switch is not my voice, it is just the 12-15 different oscillating patterns emulating my pitch. Odd.
