Rozh's HD channel was so kind to let me testfly a GAUI GU-365 with the SONIX CNC Flybarless head on my Mini Titan. This is the third flight (first mild 3D flight) and I was still getting used to it so excuse me for the messy flight :D. It was also quite cold and windy, but that did not seem to be a problem for this unit.

The GU-365 was remarkably easy to setup but you'll need a needle for the tiny switches on this little FES (18gr). It comes with a 3-axis gyro, so a HH tail gyro is also included. I bypassed the built-in tail gyro to keep using my GY401 gyro instead to save some time so I would dare to push this unit to it's limit in only a few flights. My heli weighted about 25 gr LESS (incl. GY401) using the nice looking SONIX Flybarless head than before the FES.

I was very sceptical about this relatively inexpensive unit. But honestly, although it's still a bit early to completely fall in love with it, I must say the power increase is addictive! Flips and rolls are already faster (with tamed settings) than with the awesome green 3D paddles pushed to the max. The stability is also impressive even in windy conditions on a small 450 size heli. Last but not least, it brings it yet a bit closer to the real thing!

Tip: use shorter servo arms, or place the ball-link closer the servo rotation point. The GAUI will be able to do it's job much better and you won't do 3 backflips when you actually wanted to do just one! A flybarless system requires way less swashplate movement.

Meanwhile I'll keep testing this little devil and upload more hd footage as soon as I can.
