The PCMA Convening Leaders 2011 program at the MGM Grand Las Vegas kicked off with an event that transported guests through time – Las Vegas Then & Now.
MGM Resorts Events partnered with MGM Grand Productions, Entertainment, and Catering, as well as several incredible creative contributors to bring the event to life.
Décor spanned the spectrum from 60’s retro to a modern Vegas aesthetic including clear, acrylic bubble chairs hanging from the ceiling, a "Twitter Lovers Lounge” and eclectic buffet treatments that doubled as contemporary art.
Among the various entertainers, a Liberace look-alike performed on a white baby grand piano with a full-scale mirrored grand piano spinning above, and a plethora of showgirls on stilts perched above the archway, welcoming guests into the main event space. And Elvis, the Rat Pack, and a host of amazing dancers and performers engaged the audience in non-stop performance numbers.
The stage featured five massive LED screens plus the video equivalent of wallpaper on the stage stairs, and dance elevations featured colorful, gyrating, psychedelic designs that kept the stage constantly changing, and an LED-lined curved runway brought performers up close and personal to the audience.
