On February 12, 2012 the Austin, Texas community gathered to celebrate Charles Darwin's 203rd birthday at the Texas Memorial Museum.
biocreativity.wordpress.com organized the Darwin Day Portrait Project to celebrate the work of the great naturalist by creating a collaged portrait made from images of the biodiversity Darwin studied until the age of 73.
See a time-lapse of the creation of this portrait and jam to They Might Be Giants "My Brother The Ape", a song about evolution from their 2009 album Here Comes Science!
