DemoReel - Summer 2014
Environment | Compositing | 3D Generalist
DemoReel for my last VFX projects, including shots from my student shortfilm 'MURPHY'.
NukeX, After Effects, Maya, Arnold, MentalRay, vRay, Photoshop, SpeedTree, Golaem Crowd
Check out my website dedicated to Visual Effects : wiki-fx.net/
00:02 - MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing) except a few props modelling (tents, vehicles). Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. Crowd Army was done with Golaem Crowd.
00:20 - MURPHY
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. I was in charge of layout, lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing.
00:26 - MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing). FullCG shot, combining animated and static render and matte-paint. Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. I also did a quick setup/skin/animation of flying birds to bring life to the shot.
00:32 - MURPHY
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. Previous compositing work (defocus, branches stockshots) were done by Téo. I was in charge of the final compositing of the creature into the live footage: color grading, ground contacts.
00:37 - MURPHY
I just added a few stockshot footages in the final comp to enhance the fire when the creature blows on the fire. Other tasks were done by my teammates.
00:44 - ROMAN LANDSCAPE
Responsible for everything on this project I worked on during a few months to do R&D and proof of concept for MURPHY. I self-taught how to render with Arnold, use Golaem Crowd, generate forest and environment, MayaToNuke pipeline.
00:48 - MUMBAI
School project on which we were ask to create a 2.5D matte-paint/camProj, key and track a greenscreen live footage, do screen replacement, create a fake window and composite all the different elements inside Nuke.
00:56 - EUROSPORT
Rotoscopy work i did at Eurosport for trailers which were broadcasted to promote US Open & Roland Garros competition. I had to rotoscope in a very short time a dozens of Tennis players from low quality game footages for the different trailers' versions. I also had to restore the top of the head of Nadal.
01:05 - MURPHY
I started working on this shot from a previous compositing work from Coline SAPIN. I fixed some issues, added sparks and did a restore as we tardily decided to use a 2-35 format for the movie.
01:11 - MURPHY
Restore work on the legs as we tardily decided to use a 2-35 format for the movie. Final compositing of the creature.
01:16 - MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing). FullCG shot, combining environment rendered in Arnold, volumetric clouds rendered in MentalRay, 2D clouds added in Nuke, as well as stockshots. Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles.
01:19 - MURPHY
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. I was in charge of layout, environment creation, lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing. Trees were done in SpeedTree. Grasses and others vegetation are mainly from vegetation libraries and were adapted to fit our needs.

CG generalist (except character rigging)
Demoreel of my last works at Mathematic and shots from my final grade shortfilm 'MURPHY'
Music: The future holds a beat - by Virtual Boy
Projects Breakdown :
00:03 - JACK WHITE - Lazaretto, music clip: Compositing of 3D breaking glass/stockshot/clean live ball, at Mathematic
00:05 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements except animation done by Laszlo TRACHSEL. Render with Arnold, compositing with Nuke, and fur with Shave & Haircut.
00:16 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements, someone was holding the rat, so I first clean the plate, track the rat in nuke, used the tracking point in maya to constrain the 3D branch, and then animate the character, render, comp to the final image.
00:22 - NISSAN JUKE - What if : Compositing of all the shots of the commercial for the director's cut version.
00:31 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements, same process than the camp fire shot, but with an helmet constraining the creature hands.
00:40 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements, I entirely made the character, modeled in Maya, sculpted in Zbrush, textured in Mudbox, fur with Shave&Haircut, rendered with Arnold, rigged with an autorig but I add some aditionnal rig in it.
00:42 - JACK WHITE - Lazaretto, music clip: Rigid body simulation of 3D glass, rendering in Vray, and compositing on live footage at Mathematic.
00:43 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements except bag matte.
00:47 - MURPHY : Responsible for all ellements except animation by Marc Jules-Gaston.
00:51 - MURPHY : I made the Creature Asset, animated by Téo SAINTIER, and lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing was done by Bruno LEVEQUE.
00:57 - PERSONAL PROJECT : Responsible for all ellements, but Maude DIEUTEGARD was in charged of half of the props modeling and a part of the dynamic (with the clock).Uploaded 465 Plays 10 Likes 0 Comments

I would like to share with you our graduation movie RED DAWN. We created a lot of visual effects to give that short-film a special look. This is about the linked destiny of two giants: a king and a volcano .
