1. This Coffee Ambush finds us at the new offices of Creative Loafing at Atlantic Station. My guest barista was the amazing Chandler Rentz, our Trainer/Educator with Batdorf & Bronson Atlanta. The first coffee we brewed was the delicious new crop Ethiopia Kochere, and when we ran out of that, we went into the Papua New Guinea Baroida. We had a blast, heard lots of the "This is the first time I've been able to drink coffee black" comments, and everyone was all smiles. We loved it. Photo and video was by the always awesome April Dominy.

Music "We Will Become Silhouettes" covered by The Shins.

  2. This Coffee Ambush hits Ticket Alternative, based here in Atlanta, and selling and printing tickets for events all over the U.S. My man on the inside was Jason Hughes, coffee geek, whose favorite shop is Aurora Coffee. Helping me was Dancing Goats Coffee Bar barista Robert Hayes. I had a blast with this Ambush, which turned into a full Coffee 101, and was amazing. Such a great time, and such a cool group of people there at Ticket Alternative.

  3. This Coffee Ambush took us to the good folks at Turner Broadcasting, mainly the Turner Classic Movies and TNT area of the company's giant complex. Chandler Rentz, Dan Mueller and I brewed up the Papua New Guinea Baroida, and it was spectacular all morning. We had a great time, and look forward to more ambushes there at Turner!

  4. Today's Coffee Ambush led us to the fine creatives over at Adult Swim, the animated tv network geared towards the adult cartoon watching crowd. Already customers and fans of Batdorf & Bronson, there was just way too much goodness at adult swim. From the delicious Papua New Guinea Baroida, to the awesome walls and desks all around, this was one of the most fun yet. Special thanks to Dut Goodman for helping me brew, and Garrett Kuk for photo/video work. Also thanks to Vanessa Palacios and Wendy Rutherford for being my peeps on the inside.
    Music by Mutemath, "Quarantine."

  5. This Coffee Ambush finds us at Coca-Cola here in Atlanta. Coca-Cola has several offices here in Atlanta, and the one I was at handles bottler relations, as well as some of their internet work. I brewed our Guatemala Finca El Valle in one of their breakrooms, as they all celebrated an interoffice competition achievement, and included free breakfast from Chic-Fil-A.

It was an amazing time, with SO many great folks asking SO many great questions about coffee, and how to better brew it at home. My friends know what a big fan I am of Coke, how April and I have a nice personal collection of bottles and cans, and it was a real honor to be able to brew coffee for many of their employees there. They didn't waste much time asking me to come back, as I got a text message just a few hours later asking when I could. I can guarantee you it will be soon.

Special thanks to Christina Holland for setting it up, and to Joel Palmer from Dancing Goats Coffee Bar for helping me with photos and videos, as well as making sure I could brew back to back constantly for three hours.
