For this installment of Coffee Ambush, we're headed to Delta Airlines Headquarters in Atlanta! For this Ambush, baristas included Batdorf Atlanta's trainer Chandler, Rentz, Rob Adair from Copper Coin Coffee, and Igor Zamlinsky from ZPM Espresso. I actually sat this one out, took photos, as I was on the beginning of what turned out to be the flu. Coffee brewed was Batdorf's Guatemala Finca El Valle.
Music by Bravo Max, "Summer Legs."
Today, we ambushed the Digital arm of Cartoon Network! We had a ton of fun, and can't wait to go back next week to ambush the Creative folks there. Today, we brewed the Batdorf & Bronson Nicaragua Finca Santa Gema Natural. Assisting me today were: Chandler Rentz, Rob Adair, Jonathan Pascual, Greg Gamewell, and Amanda Diegel helped with photos/video. Special thanks to Adrienne Saputo for helping me arrange this!
Yesterday, we had the chance to Coffee Ambush the great folks at HowStuffWorks, also home to the famous "Stuff You Should Know" Podcast with Chuck and Josh. Chuck visited with us at the Batdorf Atlanta Roastery a couple of weeks ago, and I returned the favor by Ambushing the staff there with coffee. I led them through a Coffee 101, from where coffee comes from, where it's grown, to how it's processed and how that affects the taste of coffees, concluding with a brewing of a coffee from Central America (Batdorf & Bronson's Guatemala Finca El Valle), and Africa (Batdorf & Bronson's new Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere.) Being fans of the site and podcasts, it was a real treat to get to see and meet the behind the scenes folks who create this great stuff on a daily basis.
Assisting me this Ambush was Eric Zuniga, and Paul Hile.
Music by Atlanta band, Quiet Hounds, from their new album "Megaphona." http://www.quiethounds.com
I had the chance to head to Columbus, OH and Coffee Ambush both kitchens at Jeni's Ice Creams. I was there to work on the first batch of our Batdorf Black Coffee Ice Cream we've partnered with them on. This Coffee Ambush I had the help of OH residents and coffee lovers Ben Blake and Beau Carlson. Lots of fun. Lots of great coffee. Lots of great ice cream.
Thanks to my friends at Cafe Evoke (http://www.cafeevoke.com) in Edmond, I was able to Coffee Ambush Vi Marketing & Branding, a great creative group in Oklahoma City. It was a great time, and the Batdorf & Bronson Papua New Guinea Baroida was really good.
