1. Inspired by "Mediation" by Michael Bull and "Synesthesia" by Caroline A. Jones.

A young blind girl uses her dreams to escape from her reality which is flanked on all sides by anxiety, fear and isolation. As dreams are, their edges blur from the surreal and wonderful to something much darker and more destructive. As her anxieties and fears coalesce in reality, so do they manifest -- for better or worse -- in her dreams.

  2. This is the second video project I did for my Media Production Workshop at the University of Washington. Our prompt for this project was centered around the essays "Networked Eyes" by William J. Mitchell and "Surveillant" by Tomas Y. Levin.

For my project, I decided to meditate on the concept of surveillance in our present era. Our youngest generations are growing up ever connected to social networks and self-voluntary surveillance practices. Whether it's geo-tagging your networked friends through Facebook or Foursquare, or updating your day's progress through Twitter, we're becoming obsessed with this style of vanity. So much so that we flirt with surveillance and the notion of being watched or observed at any given moment. What a contrast to generations of old who viewed surveillance and observation with a healthy dose of paranoia. Today's generation meets their surveillants head on with a wink and a smile.
