To celebrate the opening of the exhibition Beyond Measure: Fashion and the Plus-Size* Woman, the NYU M.A. Costume Studies candidates held a reception and panel discussion at NYU. The event included a keynote speech by Professor Leah Sweet, Parsons the New School for Design, which was followed by a discussion with plus-size model and muse Stella Ellis; Eden Miller, owner of high-end plus size label Cabiria, the first plus-size designer to show at New York Fashion Week; fashion photographer Kristiina Wilson; and Buzzfeed writer Kaye Toal.

The Barney Building houses the NYU Art Department offering studio classrooms and workshops for sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, metalsmithing, and sewing. In addition to photography labs, a fabrication lab, digital labs and printing studios.
