The story of the possible future of tigers as their habitat is destroyed and they are hunted for nearly every part of their body.
This was created as a promo video for 'Saving our Stripes', a group project at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The project's aim was to educate users on tigers and the threats that they face through an interactive experience with a life sized digital tiger. The user directs the tiger through a natural user interface watching it run, jump, stand, swipe, pounce, and roar. It is our hope that this experience will help raise awareness in the fight for survival of tigers in the wild.
The project will be shown at Imagine RIT on May 4th 2013.
Saving our Stripes is an engaging, eductional experience that evokes personal interest in tiger conservation. It allowed users to interact with a life-size 3D projection of a tiger. Their gestures triggered specific reactions from the tiger as well as related threats that tiger's face today.
