Endless Outdoor Adventure

  1. Last month, my wife and I had the joy and privilege of exploring a portion of the Scottish Highlands. Little did we know what we would find, or how much we would fall in love with her. This video, as a result, is our simple thank you to the memories she gave us and this lesson she taught me:

"Life is short. Enjoy it. Go have fun. Go somewhere that makes you nervous. Do something stupid for a change. Do something you said you wanted to do. Build memories. Build relationships. Build some kids. Then build some Legos. Build a life with your love and never let her go. Just go, and be."

  3. Thank you to our wonderful Kickstarter backers for supporting us in the completion of our dream project! We wouldn’t have been able to make these films without you!

“Pacific Northwest Dream” is a three part series that aims to showcase the diverse and beautiful landscapes that comprise the Northwest corner of the United States. They feature snow-capped mountain ranges, meandering rivers, expansive deserts and the stars of the night sky among many other visually stunning displays of nature.

These three videos are the culmination of a project that has been in the making over the last year and a half. Throughout that time we traveled over 5,500 miles through 4 states and used up 4TB worth of storage by taking well over 90,000 photos.

We hope you enjoy the series and that it expresses why we love our corner of the United States so much!

  5. Volcano Calbuco erupted on April 22, 2015, for the first time in four decades. Located close to the cities of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt in southern Chile. We spend the prior couple of days on the neighboring volcano Osorno (~20km linear distance) shooting timelapses. After an amazing night under the nightsky we took the cable car downwards after a delay caused by repairs. Already late we headed south to catch the ferry on Routa 7 down to Patagonia. After 10min on the ferry we noticed a massive, almost nuclear looking cloud boiling upwards just were we left a few hours ago. Frenetically looking for a good outlook we then rushed to the only non-forested place to get a decent view of the show. We quickly put every bit of camera-equipment we could find on the constantly growing mushroom-cloud. We shot timelapses in 8K and 4K with a Pentax 645Z and Canon 6D. On the A7s we shot 4K video to the Shogun using Kingston HyperX SSDs. We filled almost all of our memory cards in the prior night so I had to do backups while shooting all this stuff.
This was for sure the most incredible show I've ever seen. I think this is a one in a lifetime event and I am so happy that we were able to capture it in all its glory.
We will also release a timelapse video of our 6 weeks trip to Patagonia soon.
