This is the trailer for a feature-length documentary about sculptor Kardash Onnig. Onnig is of Armenian descent and was born in Lebanon. He attempted a collaborative art project with other artists, using his concept of "symbiotic synthesis" to raise money for orphans in the Gaza Strip. When this project was unsuccessful he destroyed much of the art-work, raising questions about the roles and responsibilities of artists in society.
This is a PSA in support of the just launched VeteransAid Foundation. VeteransAid was announced last night at a gala event in NYC attended by supporters from corporate, labor and celebrity worlds. VeteransAid Foundation aims to completely support all veterans from active duty overseas when they return home and face the difficult task of returning to the lives they left behind. This is not a red state/blue state issue, but rather an issue for all Americans to get behind and pay their respects to all those men and women who have served and continue to serve. They stood up for us - now we all should stand up for them.
Just released PSA for newly launched VeteransAid Foundation. VeternasAid Foundation is a not for profit foundation that aims to support our veterans for the long haul in recognition of their valued and heroic service to our country from all past wars and conflicts. This is not a political or red state/blue state issue. We all owe these amazing men and women our gratitude and have a combined responsibility to assist them in any way they might need to return to the lives they left behind before their active service overseas.
The needs are tremendous, for both those severely injured and those who have returned without an apparent scratch. All veterans have issues from their service and we must never let them down.
I had the pleasure of taping a performance and interview with Oliver Sain for the production "Route 66:The Road West". What a talented and lovely gentleman, and a real pleasure to work with. He's a part of Saint Louis' musical history.
R&B piano great Johnny Johnson was know for his work with Chuck Berry. His contribution to music was recognized when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We taped him in Saint Louis as part of the musical documentary Route 66: The Road West.
