1. Lyrics:

I gotta work on my attitude
    Cause it won’t last long
Cause I been thinking that telling truths
Took the right from the wrong
But what I saw on my TV made me change my mind
    And honesty doesn’t matter
At least not at this time

I understand where you come from
And I want some of that
I will go for what you say
    In two seconds flat
I’ll alow you to tell me
    What to think and believe
    Long as you’re gonna give
The promise of your golden dream

    All my limousines
    They’re cleaned by liberals
    My children are the best
    Because they’re special

    Lyrics by Kerry L. Dooley

  3. The song story

The words at the beginning of the song are borrowed from the Pre-amble of the U.S. Constitution. A part of the so-called “Bill Of Rights”.

The “demanding” lyrics were written by Kerry L. Dooley. He invokes, in vivid words, the feelings of a free citizen and presents the imperative plea “Look What You’re Doing Now“, as a necessary reflection on the behavior of governments and their responsibility for what is happening to this world.

The telephone call at the end of the song is a real phone call. Kerry lived in California at the time and while house-sitting for a friend in 1994 and was tele-marketed by the White Arian Resistance. The conversation was accidentally recorded by the answering machine.

    The video story

Total shooting time: 6 hours 30 minutes to 2 days
Uncut footage: 1 hr 50 min
    Camera: Sony HVR Z1E HDV

Facilities: desk, phone and music publishing activities are family-owned, gorilla costume, megaphones and television from the FTA Munich Only after a frantic confrontation with the owner of the filming field (a farmer), money was given and so was approval to finish shooting. Our video “Look What You’re Doing Now” was done from a “shoestring budget”, to phenomenal results.

The participants: 3 Family members, 2 cameramen (David Burmeister on April 22nd,2008, and Michael Teutsch on April 23rd, 2008) and Rudy Haller was sound tech, photographer, and part-time everyman.

Ralf was in the gorilla costume for two reasons:
    1. He wanted to visualize an “animal” drummer.
    2. More importantly, he used body-language to make his thoughts and feelings clear, without the use of facial expression.

The film material was not altered. It was shot directly with color filter film, i.e. only a defined color was represented – everything else is in black & white. All props in the video are green. They were prepared by Ralf & Rudy.

Who are – Familie Roeser ?

Ralf E. Schinner and Christian Kain (Kainstrom) started in 2004 as a studio project.
In 2007, they were joined by singer-songwriter Kerry L. Dooley.

That year, there came to be stylistic revolution in the production of videos and surround production. That was the birth of Familie Roeser.

The “family” characterizes the music in an active groove. With acoustic and electronic instruments and “original rhythms and sound design elements”, when combined with the lyrics and vocal-stylings of Kerry L. Dooley, it forms a hybrid energy mix.
The lyrics, written by Kerry, touch upon the subject of governmental deceit and dishonesty.

Familie Roeser is an independent project!!!

The entire process is in family hands.
Everything from start to finish – ending with video – is from the family.
We come from Planet K5, located in Munich-Schwabing, Knollerstrasse 5,
    at Münchner Freiheit.

    Family members

Ralf E. Schinner – (drums, percussion, directing, camera, editing) contributes to the music productions of the family as a rhythm monster and arranger. He has played drums for over 30 years. His roots lie in the jazz area.

Ralf is the video producer / visionary of the family. The seasoned promotional tech and graphics designer creates the screenplay, cinematography, editing and also directs the videos.

Through his experimentation and vision of the making of motion pictures, musical arrangement and sound design, he’s always taking things in different and excitingly new directions.

Kainstrom – (keyboards, guitar, bass, sound design) is the cornerstone of the music productions of Familie Roeser.

The family sound is highlighted by his mastery of the keyboard and by his far-reaching imagination for new sounds and textures for the ear.

His instrumental influences are clearly inspired by his “Daddy” records collection from the 70’s. Many compositions include classic Moog licks accompanied by Hammond and Rhodes sounds.

As the “electrician” of the family, Kainstrom not only masters complicated studio technology – he still finds the time to blow your sonic mind.

Kerry L. Dooley – (vocals, lyrics, melodies, funk), is a renowned singer in the international music scene and has worked with some of the greatest. His extraordinary vocals give the family their independent voice. He is known for his live shows and concerts. He also writes and performs for various other studio productions and can be heard in many countries.
He is the voice and funk of Familie Roeser.

  4. W.Y.HOLD IT AGAINST ME

Aha-aha would you hold it against me – people tell me - hey
Aha-aha-aha would you hold it against me

Red light tells me I must stay
Go right ahead & cross I heard a woman say
    It’s alright the bible says
That surely this verse will help you outta this mess
Matthew, Mark or Luke or John
I can’t recall which was the very one
Made it seem it was so true
So I think it’s time – that I was asking you

Chorus: Would you hold it against me
If I didn’t believe in your God
Would you scold with intentions – of making me seem hard
Would you hold it against me
    If I didn’t believe
If I didn’t believe - believe in your God

    Seems like almost every day
Somebody’s tellin’ me about the only way
They’re surprised – when they find out
I don’t believe a single word they say
I believe if I do unto others as I would like to be done
    It’s gonna be alright
All the good in me – if I just let them see
    They’re gonna let me be
Let me let me know now come on

Don’t criticize me – don’t ostracize me – don’t crucify me, or terrorize
Don’t criticize me – don’t ostracize me – don’t crucify me, or terrorize

  5. Das Video zu „We are! (Familie Röser Theme)" wurde am 06. Juli 2010 tagsüber in Ralf ́s Werbetechnikladen gedreht.

    Gesamt-Drehzeit: 5 Std. 45 Min.
Filmmaterial ungeschnitten: 3 Std. 50 Min.
    Kamera: Sony HVR Z1E HDV
