In 2009 we threw together an entry for the Melbourne 48 Hour Film Festival titled Handle With Care. Despite the tight deadline, thanks to an AMAZING team of people, we pulled off something truly fantastic. Not only is the story great (especially considering it was written in one night!), but the whole film looks and sounds amazing.
The production team consisted of Chris Hocking, David Christison, La-Ra Hinckeldeyn, Lucy H, Nick Colla, Thom Holt and Shelley Dawe. Every single person in this list went above and beyond… So thank you all! Handle With Care took out the Best Script and Best Use of Character awards at the competition.
This film was made in 48 hours in Melbourne, Australia.
Following on from the success of our first award-winning 48 hour attempt, "Handle with Care", we took up the Melbourne 48 Hour Film Project challenge again in 2010, with pretty much the same amazingly talented team.
Nicholas Colla and Thom Holt directed the short again, with Shelley Fathing-Dawe behind the camera, but this time we had a much larger cast. We started shooting on the Friday night, continued filming on the Saturday morning and afternoon, then were stuck in the cutting room all Saturday night and Sunday. Despite the fact that the film was based around a very quickly developed outline, and that most of the scenes were improvised, we are very happy with the end result!
At the 2010 Awards Screening in Melbourne we were very honoured to be awarded Best Overall Film, Best Directors, Best Score and Best Sound Design, as well as runners up for Best Actor and Best Script!
We would like to give a massive thanks to our partners, sponsors and supporters for all there help with this film:

> David & Chris Parkinson @ Sound Lighting Services (Lights & Grip Gear)
> Jack Hutchings @ The Butchery (Edit Space)
