Here is a motion graphics sequence which I designed and made for the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition in Melbourne. (October 2014)
The format was 3 HD screens joined together with a projection length of over 20 metres.
I used Maya Cloth for the fabric effects and Maya for the masthead reveal. I used After Effects to put it together. Please view my other work on my channel ( N Squared studio) (N Squared studio). I am a Melbourne freelance animator/designer.
Life in Paris is a song by Modern Jazz, a Melbourne post punk band formed by Ash Wednesday. Ash and I collaborated on two music clips in 1983 (in the compilation "X times 2"; "Hairstyle Exploding" and "Boom Boom Baby").
After 30 years procrastination, I have finally made a clip for "Life in Paris" which was released around that time (1983, 1984?)
I made this clip early in 2014, some 30 years after the track was first recorded. I had collaborated with Ash Wednesday (the originator of Modern Jazz) on two clips in the 80's. I have had a copy of "The Galvanised Garden of Inner Peace" for all of that time and have always wanted to make a clip for it.
Here are two animations created by N Squared (Noel Richards) in Melbourne, Australia, using Realflow software. The 3D software used was Maya 2012 and they were composited in After Effects 5.5. More of my work is on my Channel, N Squared studio.
