Welcome

  1. Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities.
I've crossed Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Istanbul, Konya; and tasted baklava, kunefe, doner, the turkish tea; and got the chance to meet the soul of Turkey, its people.. and got their smiles and their hospitality.
This is Turkey lived by me from north to south, and I hope you enjoy it :)

  2. As The World Falls Away - David Helpling

The official music video for David Helpling's "As The World Falls Away" created by Shawn Malone of Lake Superior Photo. Featuring Shawn's latest cinematic Time-lapse work filmed entirely in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with sequences from NASA's ISS, here the images and music merge as one in this stunning visual journey.

Created with Canon 5d Mark II/III and various astrophoto lenses, a Dynamic Perception Stage One/MX3 system and premiere pro for motion, this project took many weeks of shooting and editing to complete. Most of the scenes were shot in 2014, including scenes from the record breaking cold winter on icy Lake Superior, to a late September 2014 auroral substorm from Isle Royale National Park, Michigan. NASA images courtesy the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, NASA Johnson Space Center.

  4. “Into the Night” is an exercise of light and colour of 4 minutes that tries to show Barcelona, its surroundings and some specific areas of Catalonia, from a different, unusual and cinematic point of view.

To achieve that, has been used the time-lapse technique, which allows to capture the time at specified intervals, frame-by-frame, using mostly, in this case, long exposure.

Part of the project has been made in the so-called blue hour, whose diffused light has some features that allow to capture spectacular sunrises or sunsets full of warm colors thanks to the position of the sun relative to the horizon. It is in these moments when the skies still have shades of color and the natural light is mixed with the artificial light of the city, thus being able to capture skies in detail and urban buildings illuminated simultaneously.

This has been a photographic adventure of understanding the light and color of the night. An opportunity to observe the urban space and its density and to contemplate how these elements converge. An exercise of patience and perseverance throughout dozens of nights and dawns of cold carrying heavy stuff. And of course many hours of postproduction.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the patience and support that Miriam Morales has given me throughout the project, the help of Antonio Morales in some shots, Elisabet de Loreto for getting the access to various locations (thanks to Grand Hotel Central, Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza, Tibidabo and BCN Film Commission) Guillem Rejon for the excellent music composed for the occasion, Albert Pérez from Casanova fotografia, and especially Oscar Segura, who has been my right hand in this project and without whose help this would not have been possible. Thank you very much to you all! Hope you like it and thanks for watching!

  5. Hyperlapse definition: Hyperlaspe is a filming technique which combines time-lapse photography with relatively large (hyper) movements of the camera in order to reveal three-dimensional depth of a scene by means of parallax between foreground and background elements. This is achieved by moving the camera between each exposure, commonly, by walking with it, rolling it on a dolly, or mounting it to a moving vehicle. Software stabilization of the resulting video clip is often necessary. The effect is similar to that of a tracked timelapse dolly shot, but on a much larger scale.
