Sequence of photographs turned into a video.

    _______
ROUTE: Starting at Aldwych, along Fleet street to St Paul's Cathedral, to the Bank of England, to the Lloyd's and Gherkin buildings, then along Bishopsgate to London Wall, to the Museum of London, then finishing at Holborn Viaduct.

EQUIPMENT / METHOD: I used an Olympus EPL1 camera with a Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1,7 pancake lens in continuous shot mode. I used a fisheye lens for a lot of the footage to capture more scenery.

As the EPL1 doesn't take a shutter release cable I used a makeshift device that physically holds the shutter button down. Here's a photo: http://flic.kr/p/9F5pJ7
I turned my bike into a tripod dolly [of sorts] by attaching the cam to the bike and wheeling it around London. Some bits were taken fully hand-hand for greater control [these are the more wobbly scenes, e.g. circling statues, etc].

For my first attempt at night time stopmotion using my camera I just took a photo for every step I made which took ages: vimeo.com/19274159 . The second time I used the continuous shot mode and walked with it: vimeo.com/20268739 But that was too wobbly. I think the bike setup's pretty good, but I'm working on a new method for even more stable footage.
    __________
SOFTWARE: I used quicktime pro to convert the image sequence into a video which I edited using Open Shot Video Editor [a free Linux program]. Finally I used the deshaker plugin filter in Virtual Dub to smooth it out a bit.

    ______
MUSIC: I couldn't find a piece of music that fitted the video, so I made one myself - plugged my keyboard into my computer, recorded myself playing and then added some mild synth effects. Hope you like it.
