A sunny, winter afternoon in late February spent shooting video and stills of many snow geese, a few swans and a blue heron. The location is the Skagit Valley north of Seattle, Washington.

The Skagit Valley is where many snow geese spend the winter after migrating from their far-off nesting grounds on Wrangel Island in the Arctic Ocean.
