CineCita is a travelling cinema and video laboratory.
In october 2010 the CineCita bus hit the road in the central Andean region. For four months an international team of European and Latin American NGOs travelled through Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia - on board a selected short film programme focusing on womens´perspectives.
Aside from the public open air screenings, video workshops were implemented for girls and young women. Together with the international team they developed their own short non-fiction films and learned how a film is produced.
´CineCita´ is a cooperation project between Europe and Latin America, which involves eight partner organizations from both continents.
The 'Shoot and Run 48 Hour Film Contest', organized by Moviemiento e.V., will open with a bang at 8pm Friday 22 October 2010. The competition is meant to create inter-district dialogue within the city of Berlin through film, and is aimed at doing so throu...get the perspectives of youth.
All films will be publicaly shown with further screening and broadcast opportunities as top prizes.
The idea is simple, make a film in 48 hours, which incorporates a given theme. The project includes ten competitions over the course of one year, and anyone and everyone with an interest in making film, no matter what level of expertise, is invited to create one. It is the city of Berlin itself, which is the theme, and every competition will feature one of its distinctive districts. First up Friedrichsain.
