Outreach phase for the Haiti/DR team of YWAM Port-au-Prince DTS 2011.
Together we built and painted two water tanks for a church/school community and an orphanage (check out http://www.justicewater.net), named a seven day old baby in a tent city, sang songs, spoke and chalked words of truth and change in front of the palace, built and painted a classroom, helped launch a pioneering base in the DR with a vision of unity between the two nations, taught, played with and loved on hundreds of children- from tent cities in Port-au-Prince to verandahs in villages in Azua.
An idea is born in the mind of a child, but when he shares it he is silenced by his peers.
A girl longs for her voice to be heard, but is drowned out by the world.
Can hope remain?
In the night a friend appears offering an envelope containing hope, but ultimately pays the price for standing out.
Finding out he has passed on hope to the next generation the men are out to kill hope.
Our heroine runs to her friend and shows him the envelope. Opening the envelope they find hope in a place where their ideas and voice and can be heard.
From here reconciliation occurs, and new relationships are formed.
Desiring to give Haitian's a voice!
