1. I was inspired by watching the opening animation of the television show 'Community' to create a similar look. This tutorial does require the plugin Trapcode MIR from Red Giant software.

A solid, basic working knowledge of After Effects is beneficial.

This tutorial was created with AE CS6.

  4. Finally got around to putting together my first ever tutorial for Cinema 4D!

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a simulation of drifting paper, all within Cinema 4D and with very little overhead on your computer or scene! Here are a few of the things you can expect to learn:

    -Cloth Engine
    -Simulation Caching
    -MoGraph Cloner
    -Dynamic simulation

Something I forgot to mention in the video...once you get your simulation dialed in, you can cache the final paper simulation to allow you to scrub through your timeline and free up your processor to handle the rest of your scene.

I hope you guys like the technique and take away some tips from this session!
