Temporary modular ensemble: a performance in modular audio-visual synthesis formed by colleagues at the Digital Media Arts Research Centre (DMARC) at the Computer Science Dept, University of Limerick. This show took place on 10th May 2018 at Ormston House, with Dr O'Connor and J Simpson on modular audio along with Dr McCarthy and B McMahon on modular visuals.

This performance was Léon's first to use of a custom-app to composite audience tweets on-screen with his visuals. The aim was to gather qualitative audience feedback by later analysing these recorded tweets.

After this performance, I ran a series of video-cued commentaries with volunteers from the audience. This enabled me then analyse the performance for how it engaged the audience from moments to moment.

The performance took place at The Sugar Club, Dublin on the 6th of July as part of the ImagineScience Film Festival, run in collaboration with ESOF (Dublin) and the New York ImagineScience Film Festival.
betaV is a series of performances that interrogate the nature of the live audiovisual experience and seek to enrich that experience for performers and audience alike.
This performance presented varied perspectives on the unsustainable industrial scale fishing practices currently wiping out fish stocks worldwide.
