  3. We think there's no better food in the winter time than a good homemade soup or stew. What you put in it is your choice but the high water content and fresh ingredients will help keep you warm, hydrated and nourished while saving you money. Cooking a large bowl allows you to start with raw (and often cheaper) ingredients and spread the finished soup out over several meals throughout the week with just a few minutes of reheating from the fridge. In this episode of Health Nuts we look at Cy's favorite concoction, a hearty mixture of root and coniferous vegetables, squash, kale and fresh fish.

    Ingredients (all organic)

    3 Cups of Filtered Water
    1 Large Yam or Sweet Potato
    2 Cups of Skinned Acorn Squash
    1 Onion
    4 Garlic Cloves
    2 Habanero Peppers
    3 Tablespoons of Sea Salt
    1 Handful of Kale
    16 oz of WIld Caught Fish

    Yields 8 servings
