My ancestors came to California’s Sierra County during the Gold Rush of the mid-1800s, continuously and profitably mining in Gold Valley until the early 2000’s. Delving into this rich family history, JMJ Mining LLC (JMJ)
has consulted with numerous experts in the mining industry. Based on this research, JMJ has acquired access to land that has a proven record of gold production as well as promising potential for further development. Based on in-depth research and on-site analysis.
A very exciting location
In1855, a fifteen foot-wide vein of gold-bearing quartz was located at the Primrose Stope that yielded approximately 11,000 ounces of gold over the next few years. Due to a series of management problems, production continued only intermittently at the Primrose from the 1850’s until October 1942, when Presidential Order L-208 brought a halt to all mining activities in the region. Intended to focus all mining efforts on developing iron assets to support the war effort, this Order effectively brought to an end most of the gold mining in California. After the war, many young men sought opportunities in the cities; and most mines, even those with good production, never reopened, including the Primrose. When mining ceased in 1942, gold was selling for $35 an ounce. As of this writing in late April, 2014, gold was trading for $1,300 per ounce, down from a 2011 all-time high of $1,921. JMJ has secured exclusive mineral rights to the Primrose property: 160 acres of patented gold land. We are especially excited about this property because, even though the previous mining operations
at the Primrose were profitable, they only went to a depth of 200 feet. The Sierra Buttes Mine, which is only two miles away, was developed to a depth of about 4,000 feet, and yielded about 850,000 ounces of gold. The Primrose and the Sierra Buttes were located at about the same time and had similar yields of gold bearing quartz on the surface.
Obviously much more could be said than this brief overview allows. JMJ Mining, LLC has secured United States Geological Survey maps of the area, and we can explain in greater detail what we know to be true about the Primrose site, what capabilities we have already developed, and what may develop based on our partners’
survey efforts and our own mapping work. Further research and background information, including a 1986 geologic report prepared by the USGS specific to the area we are studying, is available for viewing upon request. This USGS report suggests that the Primrose has “high potential for lode gold and silver.”
Our team brings academic and practical expertise along with the latest, most sophisticated new exploratory technology to a site that has both proven profitable in the past and, we believe, is still greatly underdeveloped. This integrated approach is why our team is so excited about JMJ’s potential at the Primrose Site, and why we are now inviting new partners to join us in this venture. We would like to offer to qualified investors* a more detailed description of the area, its history and our plans to cultivate this mining endeavor. Current investments have laid the groundwork for this venture. Shares are now being offered to fund the next phase of the JMJ opportunity.
