I met an old sick man in a hospital, he was in pain and alone. I spoke to him and touched his hand, he cried, a mix of agony and surprise at having a visitor. I could not help him with his pain but he begged me to try. He asked me for water, lots of water. I returned a few day later hoping to find him improving but his bed was empty. He had died that morning all alone. This is a true story and happened three years ago - after this experience I began writing this short film:
THERE IS NO END
“And I have heard God's silence like the sun
now I long to return to it"
A visual essay through the eyes of a generation of women and set to the words of the poet Franz Wright, unravelling the patterns of conditioning that create the unmanaged expectations we take into life and love.
